Housing Accommodation Officer Berkshire (Local Authority) £26.63 per hour (Umbrella) 3-Month Contract (Likely Extension) Basic DBS Required

The Role A Berkshire-based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Housing Accommodation Officer to support their Housing Service on an initial 3-month contract . This is a key role within a fast-paced team, helping to ensure suitable accommodation is secured and maintained for residents in housing need.

Key Responsibilities Source and manage temporary and/or permanent accommodation placements Liaise with landlords, agents, and internal departments to secure suitable housing options Carry out property inspections to ensure compliance with housing and H&S standards Manage voids and coordinate timely property turnaround Support residents with tenancy-related issues, ensuring a high level of customer service Maintain accurate records and update housing management systems Respond effectively to urgent housing needs, including homelessness cases About You Proven experience within a local authority housing team or similar environment Strong understanding of housing legislation, homelessness duties, and tenancy management Ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised, proactive, and solution-focused Additional Information Basic DBS check is required Must drive a Car Hybrid working may be available depending on service needs If you have the expertise and experience APPLY NOW alternatively contact Muzna Naqvi at Reed Reading Office for details
