Job Description

Based at Highbank Intermediate Care, Eskbank, Dalkeith, you will be responsible for domestic cleaning duties including, bedrooms, toilets and communal areas. You will also complete cleaning schedules and ensure infection control procedures and COSHH regulations are followed.

we will be moving to new premises at Moorfoot View, Bonnyrigg, in the Autumn

KNOWLEDGE

Basic reading is a requirement of the job to enable the Jobholder to read the instructions regarding the handling of chemicals and use of laundry equipment.

Knowledge is normally acquired through demonstration and familiarisation on the job.

Interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also an essential requirement for this post.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on 22 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £16,381.39 per annum.

Based on 25 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £18,615.22 per annum.
