- Dalkeith / Newtongrange People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Dalkeith / Newtongrange . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for ongoing night shift work with excellent rates of pay and long-term opportunities. Working as part of a two-person crew, you will complete trunking runs between distribution centres, ensuring goods are transported safely, securely, and efficiently.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an LGV Driver , Category CE Driver , or Trunking Driver . Rates of Pay: £19.10 per hour Shift Pattern:
Night shift Start times between 5:30pm and 6:30pm Overtime:
Overtime paid after 8 hours Benefits:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will work:
Completing double-manned trunking runs between distribution centres Carrying out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift Ensuring all goods are transported safely and securely Completing all required paperwork accurately Following Drivers' Hours and Tachograph Regulations Working closely with your driving partner to complete deliveries efficiently Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times Essential

Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: A valid UK Category CE (Class
1) driving licence A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Previous Class 1 driving experience Good communication skills Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious Ability to work well as part of a team Desirable

Experience:

Previous trunking experience is advantageous but not essential Training:
