Job Summary: The Cosmetology Teacher is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a classroom environment, overseen by School Principal, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.

Work Schedule: 190 days/8 hr.

FLSA: Exempt
Primary Function: Ability to provide instruction, assessing and encouraging student progress. Ability to manage the learning environment, complying with state and district level regulations and policies.

Qualifications: A valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Teach at an appropriate instructional level
- Provide content development
- Assist all students in achieving academic standards and establishing high expectations for performance
- Promote student engagement and provide appropriate assessments
- Monitor student progress
- Respond to adequate and inadequate student performance
- Support students with encouragement
- Use time efficiently
