Director of Environmental Services, regarding essential duties, responsibilities, schedule changes and for up-dates regarding apartment vacancies and other pending duties.

Purpose:

Housekeeping personnel are directly responsible for the cleanliness of the physical plant and environment, including the fixtures, furniture and equipment, and for keeping the facility safe, attractive and in an operative state at all times. Including but not excluding resident rooms/apartments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIIES

Job Duties:

A. General
  • Washes windows and doors.
  • Dusts all sitting areas.
  • Clean and dust Activity, Craft rooms, Stairs and public restrooms.
  • Clean Spas (
    2) including toilets, sinks, tubs and floors.
  • B. Common Areas
  • Vacuums all halls and elevators.
  • Stock supply cart for the following day.
  • Report any needed repairs to supervisor or administration.
  • Requests supplies as needed to supervisor.
  • Mop stairs and closets.
  • Check guest room and clean as needed.
  • Spot clean all walls and carpets in all common areas.
  • Check refrigerators in Craft Room and Activity Room.
  • Washes windows and doors.
  • Sweeps cobwebs outside doors.
  • Apartments Weekly
  • Spot clean walls and floors.
  • Change bedroom and bathroom linens.
  • Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop floors.
  • Clean shower/tub, toilet, sink, and mirror.
  • Collect trash.
  • Spot clean soiled areas on carpet.
  • Monthly
  • Wash shower curtains.
  • Dust sills and ledges.
  • Clean and defrost all refrigerators in resident’s apartments.
  • Twice a Year
  • Wash windows, patio windows and blinds.
  • Inventory stock (i.e. Towels, washcloths, drapes, sheets and other cleaning supplies).
  • Disinfect and organize housekeeping closets and carts (3).
  • Other Duties:
  • Wash windows, blinds and patio doors.
  • Dust furniture in halls, scrub handrails and baseboards.
  • Dust pictures in halls.
  • Extract all carpets.
  • Detailed cleaning in any empty Townhome/apartments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
