Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced accounting leader to join their team as a Corporate Controller
. This PE-backed construction services business is a high-growth organization with plans to expand via acquisition. They need a self-motivated leader, with strong communication skills, to partner with the CFO to take the accounting function to the next level. This is a critical role in the long-term development of the company. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for core controllership and accounting activities including leading the month end close across multiple divisions, ensuring strong internal controls, preparing financial reports, and maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers, AR, revenue distribution, operating expenses, depreciation, and fixed assets.
In addition, this leader will drive improvements in accounting operations including migrating to a new ERP system, simplifying and automating accounting process flows and reporting, and identifying other areas for process improvement. Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting is required.
Hybrid in their North Dallas offices.
Responsibilities- Lead month-end close across multiple divisions
- Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, operating expenses, depreciation, and fixed assets
- Ensure strong internal controls and prepare financial reports
- Partner with CFO on accounting function strategy and development
- Drive improvements in accounting operations, including migrating to a new ERP system
- Simplify and automate accounting process flows and reporting
- Identify other areas for process improvement
- Demonstrate expertise in Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting
- Experience in accounting leadership; ability to partner with CFO
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with PE-backed or high-growth organizations is a plus
- Proficiency in POC accounting
Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 to $180k+ depending on scope and experience.
