Senior Accountant – VMG Health

Join our team to support a nationwide network of clients in the healthcare industry with an emphasis on valuation, strategic, and compliance services. This full‑time role is based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day operational accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate month‑end close.
  • Own critical areas of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
  • Support and enhance use of Del Tek as our core operating system, helping build best practices and improve system workflows.
  • Build and maintain Excel models to support financial analysis, reporting, and operational decision‑making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls, and improve efficiency across the accounting function.
  • Assist with audit preparation, including documentation, walkthroughs, and process explanations.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with operations, FP&A, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment of operational and financial data.
  • Support ad‑hoc projects, system improvements, workflow redesigns, and upcoming integrations/acquisitions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in Big 4 or large public accounting/audit.
  • CPA preferred; CPA‑eligible candidates considered.
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including modeling and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems;
    Del Tek experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and propose solutions independently.
  • Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and process improvement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self‑driven, proactive, able to operate with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Additional CPA or CPA‑eligible coursework.
