Senior Accountant – VMG Health
Join our team to support a nationwide network of clients in the healthcare industry with an emphasis on valuation, strategic, and compliance services. This full‑time role is based in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities- Day‑to‑day operational accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate month‑end close.
- Own critical areas of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Support and enhance use of Del Tek as our core operating system, helping build best practices and improve system workflows.
- Build and maintain Excel models to support financial analysis, reporting, and operational decision‑making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls, and improve efficiency across the accounting function.
- Assist with audit preparation, including documentation, walkthroughs, and process explanations.
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, FP&A, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment of operational and financial data.
- Support ad‑hoc projects, system improvements, workflow redesigns, and upcoming integrations/acquisitions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in Big 4 or large public accounting/audit.
- CPA preferred; CPA‑eligible candidates considered.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems;
Del Tek experience preferred. - Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and propose solutions independently.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and process improvement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self‑driven, proactive, able to operate with minimal supervision.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Additional CPA or CPA‑eligible coursework.
