Cashier II - PRN

JOB SUMMARY

The Cashier II receives and posts payments to patient's account, total and balance payments, and performs general office duties.

• Processes payments to the patient and non-patient accounts from lockbox, facilities, credit card reports using the appropriate patient accounting systems.
• Reviews patient accounts at the time of payment, daily reports and QUIC to ensure accurate, high quality customer service.
• Processes credit cards online payments timely and accurately in the patient accounting system for multiple facilities.
• Process ERA files electronically and verifies rejected transactions.
• Balances daily all posting transactions by facility.
• Posts adjustment sheet request sent by other BSWH departments.
• Research unidentified payments and posts the correct account or request refund. Maintains an updated, accurate spreadsheet for unapplied payments.
