Senior Staff Accountant

About the Role

We’re looking for people in the Dallas market who are comfortable in an evolving environment, seek out efficiencies and continuous improvements, are detail‑oriented, and willing to take ownership across multiple accounting functions.

Individuals in this position will not be locked into seeing one small part of the business. A successful accountant will have the ability to see the entirety of a growing business – preparing financial, providing investor reporting, and interfacing regularly with executives.

Individuals in this position will be provided with mentorship and the ability to work with experienced accountants in financial services committed to development and a strong culture. This role is designed to grow in scope and responsibility over time as the business expands.

Working in the accounting group, some of these responsibilities are in tandem or as a backup to other accounting, finance and operations personnel within the organization. The role has meaningful exposure to operational compliance and financial reporting, while providing opportunities to learn about the commercial finance industry.

• Prepare and reconcile financial reporting, interest, loans and cash
• General accounting entry and record keeping
• Set up and initiate wire transfers
• Calculate investor interest and fees
• Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly investor reporting
• Work with outside auditors for tax preparation and audited financial statements
• Ensure records maintained for reporting and lending activities
• Manage accounts payable and third‑party invoicing and payments, as needed
• Transition repetitive tasks to near‑shore or automated options

Compensation includes a salary of $65,000 to $85,000 with a bonus target of 15% paid annually based on company and individual performance. Additionally, the firm has a strong benefits package offering paid medical (employee) along with phone reimbursement and tuition assistance.

This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor to build a location in the Dallas market, while working with businesses nationwide.

Requirements: 1-3 years accounting experience, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, positive attitude, strong attention to detail, accountability, and a solution‑oriented mindset.
