Position: Senior Accountant, Dallas (100K-105K+Bonus)

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for a well-established law firm based in Dallas, TX. This newly created, full-cycle accounting role will support the firm’s growth by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and driving process improvements in a collaborative and professional environment.

In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred), the ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment, along with strong Excel skills and experience in accounting software. This is a Hybrid role and pays 100K-105K+Bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full cycle of accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with audit standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with leadership and other departments to align on financial goals, providing accurate reporting and guidance.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Mentor and review the work of accounting staff, providing training on complex accounting topics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance data accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables) and knowledge of accounting platforms.
  • Experience with Emburse, Concur, Elite 3E, or similar software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional office setting.
