Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This is a long-term contract position within the financial services industry, offering the opportunity to contribute to critical accounting processes. The role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in managing financial records and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable, including handling and verifying approximately 50 invoices weekly.

- Prepare and record general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to maintain alignment between bank accounts and company records.

- Manage Federal Reserve reconciliations, following established procedures and standards.

- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.

- Scan and digitize invoices to ensure efficient tracking and documentation.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve accounting processes

Requirements

- Proficiency in processing accounts payable and handling invoice workflows.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and journal entries.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

- Familiarity with Federal Reserve reconciliation processes.

- Ability to manage and organize financial data with precision.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
