Accounting Specialist

Location: Remote, based in Richardson, TX, will eventually work hybrid

Akkodis is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a Direct Hire role based in Richardson, TX. You can work remotely for now, but will eventually work hybrid out of the Richardson office. You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting/bookkeeping role. The Accounting Specialist will support the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role requires a strong accounting background, hands‑on bookkeeping experience, and proficiency with Quick Books.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple accounting processes. We are seeking an energetic, motivated specialist to join a growing team!!

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
• Perform full‑cycle bookkeeping, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date financial records
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies and standard accounting principles
• Support audits and provide requested financial documentation
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Skills:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting operations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quick Books is required.
• Strong working knowledge of all core accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, bookkeeping).
• Experience preparing and maintaining financial reports.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong communication (written and oral).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• The ability to speak Mandarin a plus.
