Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a team in Dallas, Texas. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can manage routine financial activities with accuracy, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to timely month-end reporting. The role offers hands-on involvement across payables, reconciliations, cash tracking, and general ledger support while working with Sage 100 and Doc Link.

Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks to maintain accurate financial records and provide dependable operational support.
• Process vendor invoices efficiently, including entering high-volume weekly invoice activity from Doc Link into Sage 100.
• Perform regular cash reconciliations and balance multiple bank accounts to ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Reconcile petty cash or cash box activity and verify receipt records for completeness and accuracy.
• Support accounts payable workflows by reviewing invoice details, coding transactions, and preparing items for processing.
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed to keep the general ledger current and accurate.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including account analysis and reconciliation of key balances.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and help ensure accounting data is entered consistently across systems.
