Gornall James is partnering with a long-established, independent CPA firm in Uptown Dallas to hire an Audit Manager. The firm has around 150 people and 20 partners and serves privately held, middle-market businesses in technology, manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate.
This role suits someone who wants real partner access, ownership of their engagements, and a pathway that is genuinely clear (with several promotions this year to back this up).
What you'll do- Run multiple audits, agreed-upon procedures and attestation engagements from planning through sign-off
- Act as the main link between partners, clients and staff
- Review work papers and coach, train and develop seniors and associates
- Build lasting relationships with a loyal, mid-market client base
- 5+ years of public accounting audit experience, including time at a mid-sized CPA firm
- CPA licence
- Experience supervising engagements and leading teams
- Exposure to one or more of the firm's core sectors is a strong plus
- Base salary $130,000–$140,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 from home
