** Accounting Specialist
** to join our team in
** Grapevine, TX.
** The
** Accounting Specialist
** is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing accurate and timely billings for construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, accounting, and clients to ensure compliance with contract terms, proper cost allocation, and adherence to billing schedules.
** Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
**** Job Responsibilities
*** Prepare and submit progress billings, AIA billings, and cost-plus invoices
* Review contracts to ensure billing aligns with agreed terms and conditions
* Track project costs, change orders, retainage, and billing schedules
* Reconcile billed amounts with project budgets and job cost reports
* Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing discrepancies
* Process lien waivers and support collections efforts as needed
* Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for audits
* Assist with month-end close related to construction revenue
* Communicate with clients regarding billing questions or issues
** Qualifications
* ** 2+ years of construction billing or construction accounting experience
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Advanced Excel skills
** Preferred Skills
*** Experience with retainage and change order tracking
* Understanding of construction contracts and compliance requirements
* Proficiency in accounting or construction software (e.g., GCPay, Procore, Viewpoint, Textura)
* Strong knowledge of AIA billing formats and job cost accounting

*** Office-based with collaboration across project and finance teams
* May require working under tight deadlines

** Requirements
* ** Must be at least 18 years of age.
* 3 years Billing experience.
* 1-year accounting experience.
* Advanced proficiency with Excel software.
* Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment individually and as part of a team.
* Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, strong communication skills and a positive and helpful demeanor.
* Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
