Cash Application Specialist

We are looking for a Cash Application Specialist to join a team in Dallas, Texas in a contract capacity with potential for a permanent role. This position focuses on applying a high volume of incoming payments accurately, maintaining clean accounts receivable records, and supporting timely cash activity processing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with detailed remittance information, collaborating with customers to address payment questions, and contributing to daily reconciliation efforts.

Responsibilities:
• Apply a large volume of customer payments with accuracy and consistency across accounts receivable records.
• Review remittance details and payment support documentation to ensure funds are matched correctly to open balances.
• Record cash receipts promptly and confirm that receipt dates are entered correctly for reporting and audit purposes.
• Support daily bank reconciliation activities by identifying variances and helping resolve outstanding items.
• Communicate with customers to clarify payment details, resolve application issues, and address questions related to posted transactions.
• Assist with follow-up and administrative tasks tied to unapplied cash and payment research to reduce workload across the broader receivables function.
• Monitor cash activity to help maintain accurate account balances and support reliable financial records.
