Medical Dental Vision 401K options Great culture Flexible schedule Job Details Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approval routing, and payment preparation. Verify invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documentation, resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal teams. Ensure expenses are accurately assigned to engineering projects, departments, and cost centers. Prepare vendor reconciliations, investigate outstanding balances, and respond promptly to payment inquiries.

Use Excel Pivot Tables or equivalent reporting tools to analyze invoice activity, monitor aging, identify exceptions, and support financial reporting. Support month-end close through accounts payable reconciliations, accrual preparation, and timely transaction processing. Partner with project managers and procurement teams to track commitments, validate charges, and maintain accurate project cost records. Maintain complete vendor documentation and follow established approval workflows, payment controls, and recordkeeping requirements.

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve accounts payable accuracy and turnaround times. Provide clear recommendations and hands-on support as a consulting partner, adapting quickly to client systems and priorities. Qualifications 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including full-cycle processing, reconciliations, and month-end support. Experience supporting the engineering industry, with an understanding of project-based accounting, cost allocation, and vendor billing.

Demonstrated proficiency with Excel Pivot Tables or equivalent tools for organizing, analyzing, and summarizing financial data. Experience using accounting or ERP systems and working with electronic invoice approval workflows. Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures, general ledger coding, internal controls, and reconciliation practices. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high transaction volumes while meeting deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence investigating discrepancies and recommending practical solutions.

Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with vendors, accounting teams, procurement staff, and project managers. Ability to work independently, handle confidential financial information, and adapt quickly in a consulting environment. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Interested in hearing more?
