Accounting Specialist

LHH is partnering with an established organization in the Dallas area seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong foundation in accounting, enjoys digging into detailed transactions, and is comfortable owning a mix of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities.

This role will be approximately 70% Accounts Payable and 30% Accounts Receivable
, with a strong focus on GL coding, complex invoice processing, reconciliations, and problem-solving
.

• Process and review complex vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy
• Ensure proper GL coding and supporting documentation
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and coding issues
• Maintain accurate vendor and accounting records
• Work with larger transactional data sets and detailed accounting information
• Support customer invoicing, billing, and AR processing
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies
• Assist with reconciliations and accurate transaction recording
• Utilize Excel to review, organize, and reconcile accounting data
• Work closely with accounting leadership to improve accuracy and processes
• Learn and adapt to new accounting systems and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2–3+ years of accounting experience
  , ideally with a strong AP focus
• Strong understanding of GL coding and accounting fundamentals
• Experience processing complex or detailed invoices
• Exposure to Accounts Receivable is a plus
• ERP/accounting system experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Someone who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently
• Must be comfortable working 100% onsite in the Uptown Dallas area
