This part-time role offers a flexible schedule based on business needs, with potential for additional or full-time hours as the department grows. Prior fintech or merchant onboarding experience is not required.

What You'll Do
  • Support merchant onboarding from submission through activation and help keep assigned applications moving forward.
  • Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with established procedures.
  • Request missing information, communicate next steps, and follow up until outstanding items are resolved.
  • Manage assigned onboarding tickets, queues, tasks, and follow-ups while maintaining clear and timely notes.
  • Assist with merchant and location setup, account changes, access requests, and routine verification requirements.
  • Coordinate professionally with merchants, partners, aggregators, and internal teams to keep work moving.
  • Protect confidential business and customer information and handle records responsibly.
  • Perform quality checks, maintain trackers, support reporting, and help identify errors before they create delays.
  • Track open items, use good judgment, elevate unusual situations, and ask questions rather than guess.
  • Help improve recurring workflows and take on greater ownership as knowledge and experience grow.
What We're Looking For
  • Reliable, accountable, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and stay focused in a process-driven environment.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with a helpful, service-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working independently after training while collaborating closely with a team.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving ability, and willingness to verify information and escalation appropriately.
  • Adaptable, coachable, self-motivated, and comfortable learning new processes and changing priorities.
  • Respectful of confidential information and committed to accuracy, professionalism, and dependable work.
  • Interested in building a career in onboarding, operations, client services, or a related field.

You do not need to be a technical expert, but computer proficiency and comfort learning new technology are important. Candidates should be comfortable with everyday computer applications, web-based tools, spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets, and CRM, ticketing, case-management, or workflow systems.

Preferred Background

Experience in administrative coordination, client or customer service, operations, account coordination, banking or financial services, healthcare administration, customer support, implementation, project coordination, or another process-driven environment is helpful but not required. We welcome candidates who can demonstrate strong organization, reliability, communication, and a willingness to learn.

  • Part-time, in-office position.
  • Flexible schedule based on department and business needs.
  • Hours may vary based on workload and coverage requirements.
  • Potential for additional or full-time hours as the department grows.

This role offers room for growth within Covered Care. Strong performers may take on additional hours and responsibilities in client onboarding, partner communication, account management, quality assurance, reporting, process improvement, and broader operations.
