Detail Technician I – Cox Automotive Inc.
We are seeking a Detail Technician I to join our team in Manheim, part of the Cox Automotive family. Your role will involve preparing, cleaning, washing, waxing, and maintaining vehicles to a pristine condition.
What You’ll Do- Prepping, cleaning, washing, and waxing cars.
- Removing defects and assisting with minor painting and repairs.
- Maintaining tools and equipment in excellent shape.
- Observing safety & health procedures.
- Completing work orders and other vehicle documentation.
- Following regulations related to paint and other detailing tools.
- Driving vehicles with a valid driver’s license as required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Prior experience in a detail shop or buffing experience helpful.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb, and lift 1–30 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock hazard, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Hourly base pay rate: $13.37–$20.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include commissions and incentive programs. Sign‑on bonus: $1,000, paid in portions ($500 after 90 days and $500 after 180 days of employment).
