Parts Coordinator – Gerber Collision & Glass

Location: Plano Rd., Dallas, TX
Employment Type: Full‑time

Overview

Gerber Collision & Glass is one of the largest collision repair companies in North America, with over 1,000 locations and more than 10,000 team members. As a Parts Coordinator, you will ensure the timely and accurate acquisition, storage, and distribution of parts to support our customer‑centric repair operations. Your role is critical in delivering a WOW (Wow Operating Way) experience for every customer.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Execute the WOW plan consistently across all parts operations.
  • Communicate customer requests and needs to team members.
  • Order, receive, and verify parts against repair orders for quality, correctness, and quantity.
  • Coordinate timely parts distribution to the shop according to the production schedule.
  • Enter parts invoices into the Management Information System (MIS).
  • Label and track parts by repair order number; store with the vehicle or scheduled repairs.
  • Notify team members of parts price changes (Parts Price Increases – PPI).
  • Order supplemental parts, monitor vendor performance, and reconcile the parts vendor invoice history report.
  • Post and file vendor invoices and credit memos promptly, ensuring correct negotiated discounts to maintain margins.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3+ years of experience working with automotive parts (auto body parts is a bonus).
  • Prior customer service experience (2‑3 years) and at least 2–3 years of CCC1 experience.
  • Registered with I‑Car (working toward Gold Class certification).

Skills and Abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to manage a fast‑paced environment and multitask under pressure.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair practices.
  • Proficiency with MIS tools (Summit, Repair Centre) and vehicle data systems (Mitchell, Audatex).
  • Parts sourcing experience with Car‑Part, Progi, APU, LKQ B2B.
  • Solid problem‑solving abilities and computer proficiency.
  • Organizational skills and ability to collaborate toward common goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to bend, crouch, reach, and handle tools.
  • Lift in excess of 50 lbs.

Compensation

$16.75 – $26.00 per hour, commensurate with location, skill, education, and experience.
