Responsibilities- Manage the Client Insurance Program using agency management system.
- Act as the main point of contact with Producers.
- Initiate correspondence with marketplace and vendors to ensure proper processing of requests.
- Maintain positive client relationships, analyze situations, make proactive decisions and manage follow‑through.
- Demonstrate consultative ability to instruct and direct clients.
- Manage upcoming deadlines and events; inform and update Producers as needed.
- Manage Accounts Receivables and Direct Billing with respect to cancellations.
- Delegate tasks to Account Managers or external resources: create Acord applications, maintain COPE spreadsheets, prepare loss summaries and proposals for renewal terms, issue Acord insurance binders, initiate premium finance requests, prepare schedules of insurance and policies, process policy audits and monthly reports, resolve accounting discrepancies, create coverage change requests, process mail and phone requests daily, prepare Acord applications and documents for renewals, adhere to document retention guidelines, perform quality checks, recommend additional products or services.
- Delegate and manage tasks given to Account Managers and outsourcing teams.
- Ensure tasks from Account Managers and outsourcing teams are completed as directed.
- Ensure Account Manager performs all tasks as outlined in MMA AM Job Description.
- Provide direction and guidance to other members when appropriate.
- Treat clients, prospects, and company employees with courtesy and respect.
- Contribute to a team approach to meet goals and provide excellent client service.
- Coordinate and monitor usage and quality of outsourcing teams.
- Act as role model and mentor Account Executives and Managers, support their training and development.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate with carriers on cost and program design, assist with plan recommendations.
- Coordinate, present, and attend client meetings, including mid‑year and renewal meetings (minimum 12 visits per year with demonstrated purpose).
- Analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations.
- Understand insurance contract requirements for certificates.
- Communicate with carriers and clients.
- Conduct client‑facing meetings as required.
- Stay current on carrier plans and websites, become proficient with premium analysis software, and utilize carrier online rating programs.
- Maintain knowledge of policy forms and endorsements, explain coverage provisions, design insurance programs, monitor pre‑defined activities with agency management system, identify and address coverage gaps, and become subject matter expert in technical areas.
- Licensed Texas P&C Agent.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5‑7 years of Account Executive experience (internal) or 7‑10 years of midmarket Commercial Account Executive experience (external) preferred.
- CIC & CRM or CPCU required; otherwise 10‑15 years of experience as an Account Executive preferred.
- Ability to meet and exceed objectives through effective delegation and account management.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and proactive work style.
- Willingness to work beyond scheduled hours to meet client needs.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and internet technologies.
- Ability to learn, analyze and comprehend commercial lines of insurance.
- Effective problem solving, confidentiality, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact.
- Experience partnering with clients to achieve outcomes via phone, email, and meetings.
- Experience presenting client new business and renewal presentations, strategy meetings, claims reviews, mid‑year reviews.
- Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels.
- Strong communication skills.
- Professional demeanor in client events.
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
