Outside Sales Representative - Crating​/Packaging

Overview

Velocity Flex is looking for a motivated, independent sales professional to grow our client’s business in custom packing, crating, and compliance services.

$55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

• Find and develop new business opportunities
• Build strong relationships with clients needing packaging for hazardous and non-hazardous goods
• Present and promote services to drive sales growth
• Meet clients in person—locally and at trade shows or events
• Understand customer needs around packaging, hazmat rules, warehousing, and shipping

• Manage a sales pipeline and close deals
• Create tailored proposals and presentations
• Work with internal teams to deliver great service
• Maintain long-term client relationships
• Use sales tools like Dynamic Business Central to track performance
• Support marketing efforts and attend industry events
• Help develop strategies with marketing and account teams
• Educate clients on services and ensure satisfaction
• Manage accounts and support teammates when needed

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in outside sales, ideally in packaging, logistics, or cargo services
• Knowledge of crating, packing, and transit solutions
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
• Willing to travel locally and attend events (up to 15% travel between Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta)
• Hazmat/dangerous goods experience is a plus
• Excellent communicator and presenter
• Strategic and organized
• Able to juggle multiple projects
• Detail-oriented and results-driven
• Self-starter with leadership potential
• Energetic and adaptable

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Flexibility to work extra hours when needed
