This position will report directly to the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development for Software/Vertical Markets/Genius POS, leading the partnerships team.
Job DescriptionThe Senior Director of Strategic Alliances is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships and driving business development efforts. This role is specifically charged with partnership strategy, forging and maintaining partnerships for Global Payments’ Zego business unit, a leading property management software company providing solutions for resident billing, payments, and property operations. The Senior Director of Strategic Alliances drives revenue‑generating initiatives with and through partnerships, and accelerates Global Payments’ expansion into the property management space by negotiating and implementing commercial partner agreements.
Develop the alliances strategy, working closely with various stakeholders – Product strategy, Product Management, Development, Sales, and Marketing. Provide guidance to map partner capabilities and priorities with Global Payments Products team goals and strategies to meet/exceed revenue targets. Ensure effective collaboration with the partners to build a mutual agreeable plan for success; establish partner performance criteria and drive partners to support Global Payments business successfully.
Responsibilities- Develop, grow and manage Zego’s strategic payment partnerships to further expand and enhance Zego’s platform of payment solutions, ensuring Zego’s vision is aligned with partner and client goals and objectives.
- Lead a partnerships team composed of 7 team members managing the full partnership lifecycle, from strategy and inception, to go to market motion, and ongoing partner support.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Operations and other leadership to align partnerships with company strategy. Coordinate with Zego Marketing as it pertains to existing and new offerings, and Zego Sales team for enablement of current and new product and program offerings to maximize adoption and revenue.
- Manage and grow current partner initiatives with existing partners as well as creation of proactive new programs and initiatives to drive revenue via payment partner channels.
- Identify, evaluate and negotiate strategic partnership opportunities, performing partner due diligence using the findings of market research, product and technical assessment, and assessing the viability of alternative opportunities, presenting recommendations to executive management.
- Lead complex meetings and negotiations with potential partners to pursue business opportunities and protect our business interests.
- Locate and propose potential business deals by prospecting partners and discovering and exploring the opportunities provided by those potential partnerships.
- Manage the team to design and construct analytical frameworks to make decisions and identify business and operational opportunities and risk creating strategic, business and financial rationale and analytics in support of commercial deals.
- Steer internal advocacy efforts to invest in current partnerships and advocate for Zego strategy, promoting collaboration across the Zego and Global Payments organization.
- Create and maintain commercial best practices to drive go-to-market planning, coordination and execution.
