About UsClasp is a venture-backed, mission-driven startup transforming access to education and career pathways. We are revolutionizing the way employers attract and retain critical talent and the way colleges and universities support their students through education financing, all while tackling the student debt crisis. (Yep, we think BIG.) We like to think of ourselves as more than a fintech; we're a catalyst for economic mobility.
A Forbes Fintech 50 company, portfolio company of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management, the world's largest HR professional society), and one of Business Insider's "43 Start-Ups to Bet Your Career On in 2025," Clasp is driven by our commitment to social impact and innovation.
Our work spans two business lines:
Clasp Talent helps healthcare employers attract and retain critical talent by connecting them with diverse candidates and using student loan repayment as a powerful recruiting and retention tool. We meaningfully connect employers, educational institutions, and learners to drive mutual benefit.
Clasp Finance equips colleges and universities with lending technology to launch and operate their own private student loan programs, enabling schools to step in and support their students directly with financial aid. Recent federal financial aid changes are reshaping how institutions think about supporting their students, and Clasp Finance is poised to meet this moment.
Underneath both is the work that connects everything: partner data flowing in reliably, users hearing from us at the right moment and in the right way, teammates with tools that let them do their best work, and data that tells one true story. We need someone to own that work.
Who We NeedClasp is hiring a Product Manager for Data & Foundations. We want a product manager who gets energy from making everyone around them more effective, and who is just as comfortable digging into an integration spec with engineers as they are rethinking how we talk to our users or helping a teammate get the answer they need from our data. You also need to be excited, not intimidated, by deciding what AI-native tooling and communication should look like at a growing company.
You’ll lead two pods: our existing Data team and our new Foundations & Integrations team. Your customers are a mix of internal teams, customers, and end users. You’ll keep two engineering teams on track, shape the roadmap with the Director of Product, and work alongside three other PMs across Clasp Talent and Clasp Finance. We’re hiring at the PM or Senior PM level, depending on the candidate.
WhatYou’ll Do Roadmap & Delivery
Run roadmap and sprint planning for the Data and Foundations & Integrations pods, working with two engineering leads.
Keep both teams focused, unblocked, and shipping. Break large efforts into clear milestones and communicate progress and risk honestly.
Prioritize. Demand will always outrun capacity, and you’ll make trade-offs openly instead of letting the loudest request win.
Own how we keep our customers’ data in sync with ours, from SFTP file ingestion to full API integrations.
Make bringing on a new partner faster, more repeatable, and less dependent on engineering heroics.
Design for what happens when things fail, including validation, monitoring, and clear recovery paths, so problems surface before a partner notices.
Lead enterprise-readiness work like SCIM provisioning that removes friction for larger partners.
Own how Clasp communicates with end users across email, in-product, and emerging channels like AI chat.
Give teams visibility into what goes…
