About the Company
We are a well-established commercial general contractor specializing in ground-up and interior construction projects. Our work includes retail, restaurant, fuel stations, convenience stores, and multi-site rollout programs for repeat clients. The team is known for collaborative preconstruction efforts and consistent project delivery.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Estimator to support the preconstruction team in developing accurate and competitive project estimates. This role is ideal for someone with early estimating experience who wants to grow within a commercial construction environment and gain hands‑on exposure to a variety of project types.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings and specifications to assist with quantity take‑offs
- Send bid invitations and coordinate subcontractor pricing
- Track, organize, and level subcontractor proposals
- Review bids for scope completeness and accuracy
- Assist with preparation and assembly of final bid packages
- Maintain pricing logs and historical cost data
- Support value engineering discussions and cost‑saving initiatives
- Assist with project handoff from preconstruction to operations
- Stay current on construction methods, materials, and pricing trends
Qualifications
- 2+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor or subcontractor
- Exposure to ground‑up and interior commercial construction preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Bluebeam or similar take‑off software preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- High school diploma required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
Additional Information
- Office-based role in Dallas, TX
- Valid driver’s license required
- Background screening required
