Pipefitting Superintendent

Overview

We are seeking a Pipe fitting Superintendent to oversee Pipe fitting operations on a specific commercial construction job site. In this role, you will ensure high-quality installation of mechanical systems, managing field crews, maintaining schedules, and driving jobsite safety and productivity.

• Pay: $120k/year (dependent on experience and fit)
• Regular schedule Monday–Friday, possibility for Saturday work if the project requires it

• Responsible for overseeing/supervising pipe fitting activities performed on a dedicated job site
• Provide leadership and direction to field team, and review work for completion and quality standards
• Coordinate and schedule the day-to-day job activities of piping field crews and subcontractors in accordance with job specific scopes of work
• Monitor and resolve matters relating to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays
• Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
• Ensure safety standards are met and turn in safety reports required at the jobsite or by GC
• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installations
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organize meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
• Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations on the job site

• Relevant experience: minimumof 5 years of pipe fitting
• Journeyman or higher license preferred
• OSHA 10 certification is required, OSHA 30 preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass background check requirements
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
• Strong project scheduling and deadline management skills
• Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions
