Job OverviewThe role involves collaborating with Project Coordinators, Manufacturing, Technologies, and Operations teams to support day-to-day efforts developing solutions that meet the needs of our valued clients in the commercial and public construction markets.
Responsibilities- Support our Commercial Supply business by providing post-tension systems, shear rails, and barrier cable systems for a variety of concrete structures, including commercial and residential high-rise, parking structures, slab‑on‑ground, and public facilities.
- Review and QC shop drawings and other submittals for conformance with contract drawings and project specifications.
- Use internal tools to create and review friction/elongation calculations for PT cable layout.
- Work with clients to ensure submittal schedules are met and deliveries are coordinated.
- Attend preconstruction meetings, review pour break layouts and sequencing, troubleshoot drawing conflicts, and act as the company’s “face” on most projects.
- Review stressing/elongation logs, draft letters for project troubleshooting, and respond to urgent requests in a timely fashion to allow jobsites to operate uninterrupted.
- Review job budgets, manage internal costs efficiently, prepare and negotiate change orders, and pursue claims as required.
- Travel to jobsites as needed; travel expectations are less than 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field of study.
- 3+ years of experience in a professional environment related to civil/structural engineering or construction industries, ideally with cast-in-place concrete experience; knowledge of post-tensioned construction or design a major project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
