Full-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major wastewater treatment plant construction project in the Dallas area. This role will oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, budget management, schedule control, stakeholder coordination, and contract administration.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in heavy civil infrastructure, water/wastewater treatment facilities, and large-scale municipal construction projects. This is a high-visibility leadership position requiring exceptional project management, technical, and client relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities Lead all phases of wastewater treatment plant construction from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, cash flow, and risk mitigation strategies.
Direct multidisciplinary project teams, including construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and project partners.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
Review and negotiate change orders, claims, procurement packages, and subcontract agreements.
Coordinate design reviews and construction planning activities to ensure constructability and operational requirements are met.
Lead progress meetings and provide regular executive-level project reporting.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required Bachelor 's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience managing large infrastructure construction projects.
At least 5 years of direct experience managing wastewater treatment plant or water treatment facility construction projects.
Proven track record delivering projects valued at $50M+.Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, cost controls, procurement, and risk management.
Experience managing self-perform and subcontracted construction activities.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with project management and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and construction management platforms.
Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Design-Build and CMAR project delivery experience.
Experience working with municipal owners and public infrastructure agencies.
