The Field Schedule Analyst serves as the Owner’s Representative responsible for independent, field-based verification of construction progress and alignment with the master schedule. This role is on site a minimum of three days per week, performing physical walkdowns, validating installed quantities, and engaging directly with the General Contractor and subcontractor field teams. The remaining time is dedicated to compiling verified quantities and preparing weekly progress data for the scheduling team.
The Analyst confirms that reported actuals match physical work in place, identifies sequencing, access, and logistics risks to schedule adherence, and tracks constraints and missed commitments to resolution. The objective is to give the project team and the scheduling team a single, verified picture of progress.

- Prepare daily field verification notes and photo documentation
- Compare field progress against the master schedule, the current look-ahead, and upcoming commitments
- Challenge discrepancies between reported progress and actual field conditions, and elevate unresolved variances to the project team
- Identify sequencing conflicts, trade stacking, and access or logistics issues that threaten schedule adherence, and recommend corrective adjustments
- Identify opportunities to improve schedule adherence, including re-sequencing, resource reallocation, and work-front optimization
- Maintain a variance log of discrepancies between reported and verified progress, with resolution status
- Coordinate with subcontractor foremen and superintendents to confirm planned versus completed work on a daily basis
- Identify missed commitments, constraints, and roadblocks (materials, manpower, access, RFIs, inspections) and track them to resolution
- Work with subcontractors to define realistic recovery plans and confirm that recovery commitments are reflected in the look-ahead
