A Day In The Office Looks Like This

The Landscape Architecture – Project Coordinator in the Landscape Design Studio is skilled in the development of multiple landscape design projects from schematic design through construction administration. The incumbent will possess a diverse knowledge of landscape architectural principles and practices to advance projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full support from schematic design phase through construction documents for projects of various sizes or medium to large projects.
  • Apply advanced landscape architectural concepts and designs independently.
  • Responsible for specific technical design aspects of assigned major projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet client needs.
  • Assist with client and project coordination and presentation materials.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare meeting notes with opportunity to lead meetings.
  • May provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Knowledgeably and inventively engage design issues including concept development and site utilization.
  • Handle the critical relationship and reciprocity of interior and exterior spaces.
  • Create landscape aesthetics focusing on materiality, tectonics, and stylistic association with architecture.
  • Provide site grading, drainage design, and documentation.
  • Develop planting design and plant material specifications.
  • Design pools and spas, decorative water features, and decorative landscape lighting.
  • Diagram and detail irrigation systems.
  • Handle stormwater management in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
