About the Role
HDLA, an award-winning landscape architecture firm, is seeking a Landscape Architect/Project Manager with 4‑10 years of professional experience to join our growing and creative design studio in Dallas, TX. We are committed to design excellence and the creation of sustainable, beautiful landscapes that evoke a sense of place and connect communities to the built environment.
The position is an in‑office role, requiring the candidate to live in the Dallas area.
Key Responsibilities• Serve as the critical contact point between the firm, clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Manage design projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction.
• Communicate design intent through sketches, hand graphics, and professional drawings.
• Delegate and oversee work of Project Designers within the firm.
• Handle multiple projects, schedules, and changing deadlines with strong time‑management skills.
• Collaborate effectively with team members throughout the design and construction process.
- 4‑10 years of professional experience
- Experience working on Landscape Architecture projects from concept to construction administration
- Proficient in plant and hardscape design
- Well organized and detail‑oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate via sketches and hand graphics
- Disciplined in time management
- Strong personal skills, including phone skills and client interaction
- Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks/schedules
- Ability to effectively manage and delegate work to Project Designers within the firm
- Ability and passion for collaboration during the entire design and construction process
- Self‑motivated and adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities
BLA or MLA from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.
