Job Description
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, a nationally recognized center of excellence in patient care, education, and research is recruiting for an orthopaedic hand/upper extremity surgeon. We are particularly interested in candidates who have fellowship training. Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and eligible for a Texas Medical License.

Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow, and medical student education and scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine. This is a unique opportunity for an orthopaedic hand/upper extremity surgeon to join a busy academic practice. Located in Dallas, this practice draws from an ideal community.

Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and eligible for a Texas Medical License.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
