Job Description
The Department of Dermatology at UT Southwestern, an academic medical center committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Dermatologist to join our dynamic and growing faculty.
We offer a robust and diverse clinical practice. Our department is nationally recognized and deeply engaged in advancing the field of dermatology through high-quality patient care, innovative education, and scholarly activity.
• Clinical practice opportunities across general and subspecialty dermatology
• Flexible scheduling options, including consideration for less than full-time appointments
• Opportunities to contribute to key departmental programs, including:
• Residency and medical student education
• Utilization management
• Clinical operations
• Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Collaborative, supportive environment with opportunities for academic advancement and leadership development
• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D degree with board certification or eligibility in Dermatology
• Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas
• Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine and team-based care
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
