General Studies Adjunct - Mathematics
Description
South College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty Member for Mathematics. Under the direction of the Department Chair/Dean of General Education, the Adjunct Mathematics Instructor will provide on-campus instruction for General Education math courses including College Algebra, Statistics, Pre-Cal, and Calculus on a quarter-by-quarter appointment.
Responsibilities- Evaluate students’ progress
- Communicate with Faculty Leads for subject matter questions
- Return all graded assignments in a reasonable time frame according to South College expectations.
Candidates must evidence the following:
Education- A minimum of an acceptable master’s degree in Mathematics (doctorate preferred) or an earned master’s or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics
- Experience teaching mathematics in an in-person classroom environment.
