Golden Chick is growing and we’re looking for a creative and strategic Content Developer & Instructional Designer to help elevate our learning and development experiences across all restaurant operations. About the Role
As part of our Learning & Development team, you’ll play a key role in designing training content and resources that support our crew members, certified trainers, and restaurant leaders. You’ll work closely with our Director of Training, Operations, HR, and other cross-functional teams, and regularly visit Golden Chick locations across DFW to develop meaningful, real-world learning solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design innovative and scalable training programs and content for restaurant leaders and crew members (e.g., career ladders, onboarding, trainer programs).
- Create engaging materials including microlearning modules, job aids, video scripts, and procedural manuals using tools like Articulate, Canva, and Camtasia.
- Support and maintain our Learning Management System and training content library on SharePoint, ensuring materials are up-to-date and relevant.
- Conduct in-store observations and support training launches to gather insights, test materials, and identify performance gaps.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (Operations, Product, Marketing, HR, IT, Franchise teams) to diagnose training needs and recommend appropriate delivery formats.
- Stay current on instructional design best practices and apply adult learning principles to content development.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in training, instructional design, learning content creation, or related operational roles.
- Instructional Design certification or equivalent training/experience preferred – no bachelor’s degree required.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred for field work.
- Proficient with tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Canva, MS Office, and LMS platforms.
- Comfortable balancing field visits, and office days.
- Able to build relationships across the company and thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Strong written and visual communication skills; high attention to detail and project management.
Required Skills

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Learning Management Systems.
