Primary PurposeThe Regional PEIMS Coordinator manages the collection and reporting of district Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data for their assigned schools based on region.
Duties and Responsibilities- Collect, input, and format all student data required for PEIMS submission according to PEIMS Data Standards for their assigned region.
- Provide accuracy of information through editing, reports, and verification of data.
- Ensure appropriate staff receive edits and reports for analysis, verification, and correction.
- Prepare and submit complete PEIMS student data in Texas Education Agency (TEA) prescribed format (submitted through TSDS).
- Validate student data submitted through TSDS platform and submit corrections in a timely manner.
- Gather, manage, and file all hard‑copy and computerized reports, records and other documents required.
- Support district with TSDS Enrollment Event Tracking and Unique .
- Meet all deadlines set by the Uplift CMO PEIMS schedule.
- Attend all required PEIMS workshops and training, and distribute information to appropriate staff.
- Prioritize network PEIMS deadlines according to Uplift CMO PEIMS schedule.
- Abide by all policies established by federal and state law that apply to charter schools, Commissioner’s Rules that apply to charter schools, and local charter policy.
- Collaborate with campus staff to collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular campus visits to assigned schools and collaborate with the campus Registrar, Attendance Coordinator, and Special Populations Coordinators.
- Work in conjunction with the Operations Director to collect all needed data.
- Interface with special populations coordinators to ensure all special populations are identified by Uplift PEIMS calendar deadlines.
- Work in conjunction with the Family Engagement Coordinator to collect and verify required enrollment documents.
- Develop and maintain a strong sense of customer service and communicate with various stakeholders including campus personnel, district and state administrators, and other District PEIMS personnel.
- Education Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); AAS degree preferred. - Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years as a PEIMS Coordinator, Attendance Coordinator, State Reporting Clerk, or similar position. - Special Skills/

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to feel, touch and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The environment requires close proximity to other employees, frequent interruptions, and extended periods of time viewing a computer screen, and noise levels from moderate to high. There may be activity from other employees and students of a distracting nature.
