The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for its Sociology Adjunct Instructor pool for the 2025‑2026 academic year. The number of vacancies is dependent upon student enrollment, division needs, and Dean's approval. Your application cannot be considered until all required documents have been received. The successful candidate will be expected to develop curriculum and provide instruction in a range of classes in Sociology. Other duties may include coordination with the department Program Coordinator and other faculty as needed. Adjunct faculty plan courses and implement and evaluate teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes.

Adjunct faculty undertake the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member, including office hours.

Master's degree in Sociology, or in an equivalent discipline, with at least 18 graduate hours in Sociology and outstanding experience in teaching core‑curriculum Sociology courses.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop curriculum and provide instruction in a range of classes in Sociology. Other duties may include coordination with the department Program Coordinator and other faculty as needed. Adjunct faculty plan courses and implement and evaluate teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty undertake the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member, including office hours.

• PhD in Sociology with significant experience in higher education.
• Successful experience teaching adults in a post‑secondary institution.
• Specialized work‑related or teaching experience that directly relates to the course being taught.
• Experience in online course development and teaching.
• Excellent communication skills in multicultural settings.
