Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Lower School Art Teacher for the school year at an independent girls' school in Dallas, TX.

• Teach weekly art lessons to students in various grade levels from PreK to Fourth Grade.
• Design and implement curriculum and lesson plans that develops essential knowledge and skills while meeting the diverse needs of all students.
• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that nurtures curiosity, builds confidence, and encourages creative risk‑taking.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to design art projects that connect with and enhance core classroom curriculum.
• Collaborate with visual arts faculty to ensure alignment of the Lower School visual arts curriculum with the broader PK–12 program.
• Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills.
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress.
• Manage and update campus visual art displays.
• Participate in grade, division, and full faculty meetings as required.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and professional development sessions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Art Education, or Art field required. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Previous experience teaching lower school students preferred.
• Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.

• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
