Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Provide leadership to properly align Career and Technical Education courses and programs that develop and maintain campus-specific coherent sequence documentation for each career pathway offered at the campus.
  • Prepare all related program budgets, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports while collaborating with Accounts Payable.
  • Assist the Director of Career and Technical Education with completing the Carl

    D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Grant/Effective Report (PER).
  • Collaborate with evaluation and Assessment Department, core content departments, and Special Education Departments to develop intervention strategies to improve RDA indicators.
  • Provide CTE program support and guidance to all middle schools, high schools and Career Institutes.
  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality professional development experiences for Dallas ISD Career and Technical Education Teachers.
  • Provide support and guidance to schools utilizing Project Lead the Way curriculum in the District; while working with CARAC, PEIMS, and the GIB to ensure all CTE course offerings are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, and analyze the results of the annual campus CTE program evaluation.
  • Work with CTE Coordinators to implement, support, and sustain Career and Technical Student Organizations.
  • All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certifications, as appropriate.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching certification preferred;
    Master's Degree in Educational Administration or Business Administration preferred.
  • Preferred Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned.
  • Required 5+ direct years of experience.
  • Demonstrate strategic and operational planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team, classroom teaching duties for students and adults; ability to take initiative and be self-directed.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with other district departments as well as internal departments.
  • Demonstrate exemplary skills in presenting, designing, planning, implementing, and monitoring projects/programs in accordance with specific guidelines and policies.
