The Senior Landman facilitates the addition of oil and gas reserves and the preservation of existing leasehold interests in an assigned geographic area, serving as the company's primary point of contact for landowners on leasehold matters.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Petroleum Land Management or Energy Commerce preferred)
- 7-10 years of experience as a Landman with an in-house E&P operator
- AAPL Certified Professional Landman (CPL) certification preferred
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations; strong analytical and research skills
- Negotiate oil and gas lease rights with mineral owners
- Analyze and interpret lease-purchase agreements; evaluate acreage and review titles
- Cure title prior to drilling and determine drilling requirements
- Prepare and negotiate farm-in/farm-out, joint operating, and other agreements
- Manage existing leasehold, rental, and unit obligations
- Mentor and train less-experienced landmen
