We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with deep expertise in liquid processing systems within the food and beverage industry
. This role will lead the design and execution of process systems for liquid products such as beverages, dairy, sauces, and other fluid-based consumables.

Location:

KC, St. Louis, or Dallas TX – up to 50% travel.

• Lead the design and development of liquid processing systems for food and beverage manufacturing facilities.
• Translate client requirements into process design scope and deliverables.
• Manage and coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and construction partners.
• Oversee technical deliverables such as P&IDs, mass and energy balances, equipment specifications, and process narratives.
• Support and lead activities such as:
• Vendor package management and technical bid evaluations
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
• Risk assessments (HAZOP, HACCP)
• 3D model reviews and coordination
• Commissioning and startup support
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (ABET‑accredited)
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering for liquid food or beverage systems, specifically in confectionary, pet food, fermentation, dairy, dressings and sauces.
• Strong understanding of sanitary design, CIP systems, and fluid handling equipment
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills
• Familiarity with industry codes and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, 3‑A)

• PE or EIT certification
• Experience with construction support (RFIs, submittals, punch lists)
• Hands‑on experience with commissioning and troubleshooting liquid process systems
• Knowledge of automation and control systems for liquid processes
