Position: Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers)

Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers) – Jacobs

Join Jacobs as a Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers). This position is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States; preference will be given to those near a Jacobs U.S. office.

Base Pay Range

$/yr – $/yr

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of structural analyses.
  • Create computer models for structures.
  • Conduct member design and foundation calculations, prepare material take‑offs for estimating, miscellaneous calculations, and assist with schedules.
  • Work on data‑center projects including new builds, retrofits, and colocations.
  • Coordinate with a diverse team of engineers and designers, liaising with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery.
  • Expand technical expertise and take on leadership roles within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
  • Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other relevant design codes and standards.
  • Knowledge and application of building codes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including MS Teams.
  • Willingness to travel 10%–20% to client sites.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Experience with industrial metals projects such as casting and rolling operations.
  • Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
