Recruitment Resourcer @ Ellaway Blues Consulting | Human Resources Management

We are currently looking to recruit a materials engineer with a focus in computational analysis for one of our clients based in Fort Worth, TX. Our client is a rapidly growing business in the sustainable technology industry. The Computational Engineer will play a key role in guiding the business through its next phase of evolution, integration, and scale. Computational methods are expected to include thermodynamic modeling, materials informatics, machine learning, atomistic simulations, molten metal fluid dynamics, image-based microstructure analysis, and more.

This role will utilize an integrated computation and materials engineering (ICME) approach to model complex metallurgical chemistries and processes. Working closely with experimental process engineers, this position will support multiple research and development efforts focused on design and manufacturing technology. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in returning an essential manufacturing capability to the US.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct thermodynamic and process simulations to advance understanding of manufacturing processes and performance
  • Develop process-structure-property models and databases, and use these tools to design and optimize next-generation technology
  • Work closely with experimental team members to integrate experimental feedback into physical property models
  • Engage external institutions including university researchers, strategic partners, and government laboratories to add value from new technologies and applied research
  • Represent the company within the industry by publishing in technical and trade journals and presenting at conferences
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will hold a M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgy, Physics or a related field. They will also be familiar with metallurgical manufacturing processes and materials characterization methods. They will be an agile researcher, adept at identifying untested questions about materials and the interactions between processing, structure, and performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

Candidate with experience leading technical development projects, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects, and ability to apply existing skills and experiences to new problems will be viewed favorably.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth organization with long-term career potential, working on projects of national importance across advanced manufacturing and energy-critical supply chain. Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and career growth opportunities within the transformative materials and technology industry.
