Senior Mechanical Engineer

Come work with a team of engineering professionals dedicated to excellence at Coffman Engineers' recently formed Dallas office! We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in HVAC and plumbing system design who is interested in building and leading a mechanical engineering team.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with at least nine years of experience looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful and complex projects primarily in healthcare, laboratory, commercial, retail, civic and government, higher education, and federal industries. The successful individual will leverage their local experience and relationships to work closely with our business development team and other discipline leads in developing technical proposals and will take a proactive role in marketing.

This role provides the opportunity to help build, manage, and mentor a strong team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multi-discipline office.

We are looking for a leader who works effectively with all personality types, is interested in developing close relationships with our great clients, and who desires to grow professionally and stay involved in the activities and exciting trends in the industry. The position will involve a mix of technical design and consulting, construction support, and new project scoping and proposal writing.

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Registration as a Mechanical PE required
• Minimum 9 years in consulting engineering field
• Minimum 9 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing engineering
• Active local industry involvement preferred
• Previous experience leading a team preferred
