In the role of Senior Bridge Engineer, we'll count on you to contribute as a technical leader on bridge design projects and to advance transportation infrastructure that serves communities worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Serve in a lead technical role on bridge design projects
  • Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects
  • Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable) box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway projects
  • Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, and supervise more junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks
  • Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Experience with Micro Station, ORD, OBM, Project Wise, MathCAD, Bluebeam
  • Familiar with engineering software such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-Multi Pier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, LARSA, SPColumn
  • Experience working with TxDOT bridge design manuals, guidance, standards, preferred practices, and software

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years bridge design experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (Example: PE or P.Eng)
  • Proven hands-on experience in all aspects of bridge design projects
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-Multi Pier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP
    2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, SPColumn, STLBridge

    LRFD, or STLBridge
  • Knowledge of ADINA, LUSAS, Bentley Open Bridge Designer/Open Bridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infra Works and Civil 3D
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Micro Station, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Comfortable being viewed as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design with a proven background of technical leadership on these projects
