Prism Electric is a Texas‑based open‑shop electrical contracting company expanding into Oklahoma. The firm works on design/build services, industrial and commercial developments, and government projects, and prides itself on world‑class technical expertise and strong industry relationships.

The successful Preconstruction Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and owners during the design phase of design‑build, design‑assist, and integrated projects. Acting as the key interface between the preconstruction and operations groups, the role involves designing and developing value‑added technical pricing and design solutions from concept through detailed drawings.

• Initiate and maintain contact with GC and A/E contacts to facilitate a successful preconstruction process
• Prepare preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates and studies during preconstruction
• Ensure accuracy of all estimates and continuously monitor cost trends to detect overruns and potential problem areas
• Participate in design decisions, evaluations, studies, value engineering, value analysis, scheduling, and constructability reviews
• Ensure estimates, including general conditions, are accurate, complete, and reflect the project requirements
• Maintain current estimating records, studies, unit prices, etc.
• Evaluate and analyze subcontractor proposals in preparation for subcontracts
• Participate in the preparation of construction schedules for estimating purposes
• Discuss staffing requirements with operations to build project teams
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify new work opportunities and inform Sales and Marketing of potential projects
• Support Business Development in proposal presentations and interviews; assist Sales/Marketing in building General Contractor and Architect/Engineer relationships
• Coordinate with marketing on the assembly of preconstruction materials for presentations

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 5–10 years of estimating experience on commercial and/or industrial projects, from concept to close‑out
• Experience with large commercial and industrial projects
• Strong computer software skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Stable employment history
• Knowledge of Accubid
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
