We’re seeking a dedicated EHS Engineer to join our team supporting the design and manufacturing of critical power solutions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety and environmental compliance while contributing to the success of a growing industrial operation.
The EHS Engineer will work closely with plant leadership and staff to establish and maintain a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship. The role involves developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organization and supporting initiatives that reduce risk, enhance safety awareness, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a safety-focused culture that identifies, eliminates, and controls hazards to prevent injury or property damage.
- Lead and manage EHS projects for the site, including compliance initiatives and safety programs.
- Serve as a resource for the Safety Committee and related subcommittees.
- Assist in day-to-day safety communications and activities across manufacturing teams.
- Provide training on EHS topics and coordinate ongoing employee safety education.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state regulations.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for incidents, inspections, and training.
- Conduct audits and risk prevention activities, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Regularly review and update existing EHS programs to maintain compliance and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
- Minimum 7 years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial setting, preferably manufacturing.
- Certification in AED, First Aid/CPR, and OSHA standards preferred.
- Knowledge of safety programs and procedures, including LOTO, machine safety, risk assessments (JHA/JSA/RA), electrical safety, confined space, emergency preparedness, ergonomics, PPE, PIT & AWP operation, hearing conservation, working at heights, and incident analysis techniques.
