Responsibilities- Ensure timely completion of high‑quality projects within budget constraints. Conduct regular status updates and end‑of‑contract cost analysis. Efficiently incorporate scope changes and verify project estimates for accuracy.
- Review various reports to determine project status and determine actions required. Provide periodic status and end‑of‑contract cost and budget analysis.
- Conduct pre‑job planning meetings, document meeting results, and ensure all action items are completed. Develop and maintain all project schedules, ensuring they mesh with the master project schedule.
- Establish and execute subcontracts and equipment buy‑outs to support schedules and budgets.
- Communicate all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.
- Assemble the estimate for the project, review the final estimate, and ensure proper loading of numbers into the project cost system.
- Prepare and submit monthly contract billings to ensure proper cash flow during contract performance.
- Manage conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades, or partners.
- Identify and develop policies and procedures for continuous and aggressive improvement.
- Visit job sites or onsite offices, perform work inspections, check job progress, and resolve project and contract issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is mandatory.
- 3+ years of commercial mechanical project management experience required.
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.
