Process Controls Engineer - Job Level: Professional IV
The Process Controls Engineer provides process control engineering solutions and support to DKL Operations and Technical teams. This role involves working with industrial automation, plant control systems, and data communication applications. The Process Controls Engineer possesses working job knowledge and experience and is typically on a steep learning curve, moving toward full competency and becoming an independent problem solver and decision maker.
The incumbent will perform a range of moderately complex assignments, developing the ability to do more complex work, and will analyze possible solutions using standard procedures, guidelines, or policies, receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of midstream pipeline and/or gas processing experience is preferred, OR 6+ years of refining, or upstream oil & gas experience required.
- 3-5 years of Delta
V support and programming experience in continuous process facility preferably in midstream gas processing or downstream petrochemical or refining operation. - Additional experience in other programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic, C++/C#, Microsoft SQL Server is very beneficial.
- Working knowledge of PHMSA regulations, DOT Part 195, ASME B31.3, B31.8and B31.4 design standards, and API Recommended Practices.
- Overnight travel to company locations and facilities for meetings, training, special projects, emergency planning, or information gathering will be required.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must be willing to submit to DOT random drug & alcohol screening.
